Synopsis: The Doctor investigates the mysterious in-flight disappearance of a Concorde.
He discovers that the plane has been taken back to the Pleistocene through a time contour.
There he encounters Kalid, a strange Arab magician, who appears to command protoplasmic
ceatures bound by psychic energy, the Plasmatons. Kalid turns out to be the Master, who is
trying to control the Xeraphin, an alien connective intelligence of immense mental
powers, whose planet was laid waste in a galactic war. The Master gains control of the
Xeraphin's evil side, but its good side helps the Doctor thwart him. The Time Lord
fixes the Master's Tardis so that the Xeraphin are sent back to their now-clean
home planet, which will serve as the Master's new jail. The Tardis departs but
Tegan stays behind on twentieth century Earth.
Shown 22 March 1982 to 30 March 1982.
