Synopsis: The time corridor takes the travelers to the twentieth century London docks.
They meet Stien, who has escaped from a Dalek battleship in the future. There, under
the command of the Black Dalek, Commander Lytton and his mercenaries
have just taken over the space station where Davros has been kept frozen for
ninety years. The Daleks need his help to neutralise a deadly virus created
by the Movellans. But Davros plots to regain his leadership and takes control of the
minds of several Daleks. Stien turns out to be a replica, genetically engineered by
the Daleks, who want to create a duplicate of the Doctor to kill the Time Lords'
High Council. The Doctor turns Stien round and confronts Davros, but cannot bring himself
to kill him. The Black Dalek's Daleks and Davros' Daleks wage a merciless
war. Davros falls victim to the Movellan virus, and Stien activates a self-destruct switch,
destroying both the space prison and the Dalek ship. Back on Earth, the Doctor
uses the virus to get rid of the remaining Daleks. Lytton stays in the twentieth century
with two Dalek-made duplicates of policemen. Tired of all the violence, Tegan leaves
the Tardis' crew.
Shown 8 February 1984 to 15 February 1984.
