Synopsis: In the twenty fifth century, a party of soldiers led by
Prof. Kyle and Lt. Scott, investigate the death of paleontologists
murdered by mysterious androids while studying dinosaur remains in an
underground cave. The Doctor discovers the androids are protecting a bomb
set up by the Cybermen and capable of destroying the Earth. He disarms it and
follows its radio signal to a gigantic space freighter, under the command of
Captain Briggs. But Cybermen take over the ship, which they plot to crash
on Earth while the Galactic Congress is in session. After locking the
freighter on its deadly course, the Cyberleader forces the Doctor to take him,
Tegan, and Nyssa on board the Tardis, leaving Adric behind. Scott destroys
the remaining Cybermen. Adric reroutes the ship into a time spiral leading
to sixty five million years ago. The Doctor destroys the Cyber Leader. Briggs
and the other survivors escape the ship in the nick of time, but Adric
remains on board until it crashes into the Earth, causing the death of the
Dinosaurs.
