Caves of Androzani

Synopsis: On Androzani Minor, the Doctor and Peri become involved in a conflict
between Sharaz Jek, a disfigured scientist, hiding inside a huge network of
caves, protected by his androids, and General Chellak's men from Androzani Major.
Jek wants revenge against Morgus, the Chairman of the Sirius Conglomeration, and his
former partner, who betrayed him. Jek has gained control of the supply of spectrox,
precious life-giving elixir prepared from poisonous bat guano. Mistaken for gun-runners,
the Doctor and Peri are rescued by Jek, who falls madly in love with the Earth girl.
They later meet the real gun-runenrs, led by Stotz, who are in the secret employ
of Morgus. The Doctor discovers that he and Peri have been poisoned by raw spectrox.
Morgus eventually takes personal command of the smugglers, and is deposed by
his assistant. He and Jek meet at last, and kill each other. Meanwhile, the
Doctor succeeds in obtaining the bat milk antidote to Spectrox Toxoemia but accidentally
spills some. He gives what's left to Peri, and regenerates.
