Synopsis: A traitor in the High Council steals the Doctor's bio-data
extract from the Matrix and transmits it to an anti-matter alien
who has crossed into our dimension through the 'Arc of Infinity,' a collapsed
star. The alien must bond physically with a Time Lord to remain in
dimension, and has chosen the Doctor. The High Council decide that the
Doctor must die in order to sever the bond. Meanwhile, in Amsterdam,
Tegan investigates her cousin Colin's disappearance in an ancient crypt,
and is eventually captured by the alien. The Doctor escapes termination,
while Nyssa esposes the traitor, Councillor Hedin, who reveals the alien's
identity: Omega. Omega now controls the Matrix but his use of Tegan
as a hostage has revealed his location. In Amsterdam, the Doctor confronts
Omega, whose body is turning into a replica of the Doctor's, but the bonding
is incomplete and will cause a huge anti-matter explosion. The Doctor uses
a matter converter to destroy Omega. Tegan rejoins the Tardis' crew.
